Bella Riza

Bella Riza is a filmmaker with an interest in experimental languages of documentary and pushing the boundary between visual art, anthropology and film. Her work focuses on personal histories and the geographical and emotional displacement of individuals. Her work can be viewed at http://www.bellariza.com

Bella has been working with Mesmer since 2011, as a film researcher, archivist, camera operator and film-maker. Her research has taken her into the vaults of the BFI to transfer 16mm film for the 50th anniversary of Oh! What a Lovely War, and onto set to film 90s Labour campaign films for The Absence of War.
