Lovesong, by Abi Morgan and Frantic Assembly, intertwines a couple in their 20s with the same man and woman a lifetime later. Their past and present selves collide in this haunting and beautiful tale of togetherness. All relationships have their ups and downs; the optimism of youth becomes the wisdom of experience.
Video shows glimpses of a formative memory in the couple's past, filmed in the Mesmer studio on a cave set built and painted by Adam and Ian.
With the elegiac mood built up through an ambient soundtrack and suggestive ripples of video, it’s all you can to do to fight back the tears
