When a man loses his way home it signals an irreversible return to childhood. Compassionate, heartfelt, strikingly dramatic and often witty, this is an original and richly-textured take on ageing, memory and the incomprehension of getting old in the minds of the young.
Ian William Galloway designs video projections for The Opera Group's new production - The Lion's Face, by Elena Langer and Glyn Maxwell.
The play features a video design reconstucting the memories of someone suffering from dementia, and featured animation as well as period film shoots.
At the back we see not only the snow falling outside but disordered yet evocative images (designed by Ian William Galloway) from Mr D’s memory bank
