Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead
Complicite’s newest production based on Nobel Price winning Olga Tokarczuk’s novel utilises a projection design across multiple surfaces and directions to provide the visual texture of Janina’s world. She is at odds with her place in a world detached from the natural spiritualism of her guiding light William Blake. The harsh environment of the hunter which conflicts with the cosmic forces determining her life are intercut with Jachym Bouzek’s animations and the graphic interplay of text, landscape and cosmic symbolism.
