Veuve Clicquot Widow Series IV: Rebels

The Widow Series is commissioned by the champagne brand Veuve Clicquot, to honour their founder Madame Clicquot. Each event is curated by a visionary artist, who create thought-provoking experiences to celebrate the legacy Madame Clicquot left behind.

For Series IV, designer Tom Hingston paid homage to British subculture and reframed it to parallel significant dates in the Veuve Clicquot history. With a leading theme of ‘REBELS’ Hingston Studio directed a visceral response that paid tribute to a tradition of rebellious, innovative and radical minds of the past.

Located in the OXO Bargehouse on Southbank, the immersive installation spanned the entire building which required bespoke projection design that would integrate seamlessly into the challenging structure of the old barge house.

For Veuve Clicquot, Mesmer worked with Hingston Studios to deliver this huge immersive event over 3 nights, in which projection featured across four installations and the exterior wall.
